The steel tube design supports up to 130 lbs. total, or two bikes weighing up to 65 lbs. each, making it a great option for one E-bike and one fat tire bike, or two lighter E-bikes. If you own an E-bike heavier than 65lbs., removing the battery will lessen the weight. Both posts folds down to facilitate bike loading and storage when not in use, and each post terminates in a padded ratchet arm to secure bikes by the tires. When the carrier is empty, it can be folded up vertically against the vehicle to reduce the footprint, or tilted down with a pin and lever system to gain access to the trunk and vehicle cargo space.
